As families grow, the need for a dedicated hangout space becomes essential. The goal for this basement renovation was to create the ultimate rec room—transforming an unfinished lower level into a stylish destination for entertainment and relaxing.

The star of the new space is the fully custom media centre. It features sleek, built-in cabinetry for storage and a cozy gas fireplace with a modern shiplap surround, creating the perfect backdrop for big-screen entertainment. To support the new living area, we also finished the surrounding space to include ample storage and a convenient two-piece bathroom.

This project transformed a blank canvas into a multi-functional basement retreat that gives everyone in the family their own space to enjoy.
